I have tired restating the Network Manager (clearing out all network settings first)
Converting it to a DHCP address,
Manually reassign the address  (both the original and a new one)
Swapped the network cable and changed the ports on the switch. (All the ports on the switch are on the same network vlan BTW)
The subnet mask and gateway match other systems on the network so there is no subnet mask/gateway issue.
I need to verify the vlan on the box but I am pretty sure it was the default vlan for the ESXi
